In 2003, Virginia Tech was set to host Texas A&M in Blacksburg. Mother Nature had other ideas, as Hurricane Isabel was bearing down on Virginia. I attended this particular game, and I’m still not dry. Lane Stadium was not quite full, but extremely loud. Kevin Jones carried the rock 30 times in the Virginia Tech 35-19 victory. The Hokies entered the game ranked #8 in the country. Jones ended up with three touchdowns, and VT was 1-0 in “Hurricane Games”.
In 2015, the Hokies were going to host Pittsburgh with another hurricane poised to pounce. Hurricane Joaquin wasn’t on the fast track to B’Burg, but the outer bands certainly produced some heavy rains. The Hokies fell short to the Panthers, bring the “Hurricane Game” record to 1-1.

The weather will definitely be a factor on Saturday. If you are planning to go to the game hit us up @gobblercountry. I would like to take a moment to remind all Hokies to drive safe, and be careful! Go Hokies!
