The twittersphere was abuzz with the announcement of Dylan Powell. Powell is a kid that was ranked by most recruiting services as a 3*. The Hokies made a late push on getting him to Blacksburg, but it was simply a case of "too little too late".

Powell would have been a welcome addition for the Hokies, who need big, beefy lineman like Powell. Recruiting is a fickle game, and the fact that Powell was considering VT was great. National signing day is Wednesday, and Powell was one of those "possible" kids that give coaches grey hairs. Powell had the goods, and we wanted him. Unfortunately for Virginia Tech, Powell will be in Palo Alto come fall. Stay tuned to Gobbler Country for any other breaking recruiting news. Wednesday we will have all eyes on the kids as they make their intentions known.
