After ending the season on a hot streak, the Hokies were invited to play in the N.I.T. on Sunday night. Buzz William's squad grew this year and finished way ahead of preseason projections. The Hokies had a slim chance to make the "big dance", but Miami ended the Hokies A.C.C. tournament run on Thursday night. The #1 seeds in the tournament are Monmouth, St. Bonaventure, South Carolina, and Valpo.
The Hokies will face Princeton out of the Ivy League. The Hokies are ranked #3 in the N.I.T., and Priceton is ranked #6. The game will played Wednesday night at 8 PM. ESPNU will televise the game, and the Hokies got a special mention on the reveal show, mentioning the Buzz Williams transformation job. Princeton is 22-6, and finished second in the Ivy League. Some pundits had Princeton going to the N.C.A.A. tournament. You can read Forbes.com's take on why Princeton should be dancing here. Let's hope the Hokies can take this home!
