Virginia Tech Hokies Drubbed by the Yellow Jackets: 14-4

Game 1 of the 2nd ACC series for Virginia Tech didn't go well. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets stung the Hokies with a 14-4 slide stopping performance.

It's now an official 4 game slide, and it's threatening to morph into a full on slump.  Georgia Tech broke their four game tailspin by breaking the Hokies' backs.   Virginia Tech pitching looked more like another round of pitching batting practice for the other team; and the truck carrying the bats arrived late in the game.

Packy Naughton takes the loss, but so does the rest of the team.  There is just no sugar coating the reality, 14-4 is a blowout loss, and that makes three meltdowns in a row.  The Hokies need to get refocused.  Pitching that started off in the above average category, has lost control and velocity.  Hitting has all but disappeared and the combination results in what we saw yesterday.

Here is hoping that a little wounded pride will bring the Hokies to the field later today, with a renewed faith in themselves, and their abilities.

GO HOKIES!!!
