Virginia Tech Hokies Drop Game 3 to the Highlanders: 5 - 1

Tech and Radford square off in a delayed game, at more or less neutral Pulaski. The Hokies generate almost no offense, and the Highlanders take the game in an early scoring flurry.

There had been hope, and then there was this one little problem.  The Hokies had to win again, but unfortunately they didn't, so they lose the strung out series to Radford in Game 3 at Pulaski; 5 - 1.

Winning doesn't come easy when you manage 4 scattered hits over your 9 innings.  Tech is now 11-23, and the offensive fizzle keeps making it almost impossible for them to get close to a chance at some ego salving wins.  Ryan Tufts scored the Hokies' lone run in the second inning on an error which is not much to talk about on offense.

Culver Hughes started, but only managed to stay in for 1 2/3rds innings.  He was shelled for three runs.  Joey Sullivan and Connor Coward both gave up single runs in their relief sets.  But the 3 run 2nd is what put Tech away.

Winning consistently is still slightly out of reach.  Tech has a large amount of work to do to try to salvage some pride from this season, because that's all that's left them.

Go Hokies!!!
