Virginia Tech Hoopster Taijah Campbell Inks Pro Deal

Former Virginia Tech Hokie standout Taijah Campbell has signed a one year deal with MBK Ruzomberok of the Slovokian Extraliga.  Campbell is a 6'3" Forward/Center who has a knack for defense and rebounding.  She ranks 5th all time at Virginia Tech in blocks.  In addition to finishing high on the career blocks list, Campbell finished 7th in Hokie history in rebounds.

Taijah Campbell originally hails from Toronto, Ontario. She has played on several Canadian national teams. She will continue her basketball career with as team that reached the semifinals in the Extraliga playoffs last season, so it appears she is heading to a winnng team. The Ruzomberok coach is excited to have Campbell on board. “We are very happy to welcome Taijah to our club,” said Juraj Suja, Ružomberok Head Coach. “She will join a hardworking group of people and we believe she will fill an important gap in our lineup. We are looking forward to her rebounding, leadership, and rim protection on defense.”
