Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) is an up and coming sport in the U.S. On Saturday night, the final four of the BattleFrog collegiate series was broadcast on ESPN. The race is held on a course with four obstacles on each leg. Each coed team must navigate the obstacles relay style. The Hokies faced off against Georgia Tech in the semis, and cruised to an easy victory. The defending champion Army team beat Ole Miss in its semis to set up the finals match with Virginia Tech. Army set the course record in the semifinal match, but Virginia Tech looked confident heading into the last match.
Former Hokie David Wilson apparently was enjoying the off season action along with the rest of us. The Virginia Tech team was made up of Nicole Smith, Zach Tritsch, Elaine Lewis, and Eric Lamberton. The Hokies finished third last year, and with this year's second place finish, are headed the right direction.S/o the #Hokies representing #virginiatech in the #BattleFrog race VT pic.twitter.com/9KdYZXn05q
