Eric Gallo will anchor the 2016 edition of the Virginia Tech Hokies.  Gallo, a 6'2" 290 pound center, started 13 games for the Hokies last season.  The junior from Richboro, PA, is poised for great things.  Gallo was named to the Rimington Trophy watch list yesterday.  The Rimington Trophy honors the best center in all of college football.  Gallo was on the field for 871 snaps last year, and is tasked with executing Justin Fuente's high octane offense this year.

Last year, the award was given to Alabama's Ryan Kelly. Kelly helped the Tide win a national championship, and was instrumental in their potent rushing attack. Other former winners include: Reese Dismukes from Auburn, Bryan Stork from F.S.U., and Barrett Jones from Alabama. Being on the watch list is an awesome accolade, and we are looking forward to seeing Gallo on the field in 2016.
