Yesterday, Virginia Tech had a special guest at practice. In a sweet unveiling, NASCAR’s Wood Brothers made a huge statement. The number 21 car in all its Virginia Tech glory:

Driver Ryan Blaney will pilot the 21 car in Saturday night’s race in Bristol. Bristol Motor Speedway will be hosting the football version of the Hokies on September 10, in the inaugural Battle At Bristol against the Tennessee Volunteers. The amazing new paint job on the 21 car sports the Hokies’ new jersey look.

With the game just around the corner, the hype is growing every day. Look for Tennessee to be perhaps in Saturday night’s race. The Volunteers have already enlisted Kenny Chesney to be part of a Friday night concert at the venue. The Wood Brothers have partnered with the Virginia Tech Hokies previously, but it’s good to see the orange and maroon on an oval again. Bristol Motor Speedway will be dressed to the nines for the big race, and the big game.
