Virginia Tech Recruiting Nets Quarterback

The Hokies class of 2018 gains a commit in DeJuan Ellis

Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

The class of 2018 is starting to fill out quite nicely. The Hokies received a commitment from 4* QB DeJuan Ellis from Arlington, Va..  The QB is listed as a 6'0" dual threat QB who has serious wheels.  His listed 40 yard dash time of 4.35 is lightning quick.  The Hokies have done a ton of recruiting over the past few weeks, and DeJuan Ellis appears to be the next big commit.

The next Hokies QB may or may not be in the pipeline in Blacksburg.  Coach Justin Fuente understands that depth is key, but this kid will get a serious look in the future.  Ellis isn't fully grown, but if his skill set develops with some size, look out.  The Hokies just got better in terms of stars, but if Ellis lands in Blacksburg, the Hokies got better where it counts: the field.  Stay locked at gobblercountry.com for all of your breaking recruiting news.
