The game is an orange effect game, meaning fans are asked to wear all orange. Virginia Tech comes into the game at 2-1, with their only loss to Tennessee.
East Carolina enters the contest at 2-1, losing a heartbreaker to NC State, 20-15. The Pirates are in the familiar underdog role, and look to pull the upset.
