Willis will join Josh Jackson to try and earn the starting nod for next season. Willis is 6’4”, 211 and is an Overland Park, KS native. Willis hasn’t exactly lit it up for the Jayhawks, tossing 12 TD’s and 17 INTS in his career. He last suited up for Kansas in a 49-17 loss to Baylor, back in October. Willis was a 3*, per 247sports, and had several other offers on the table. It is unclear how Willis will fit into Justin Fuente’s offense, but to have another player with experience in the backfield should certainly help. We will provide any additional information for this evolving story as it becomes available. The Kansas Jayhawks finished last season 2-10, with Willis only playing half the season.
