This weekend Virginia Tech is hosting a really big track and field event. The Virginia Tech Invitational takes place at Rector Field House, and hosts several top track teams from the A.C.C. and beyond. Teams from Army, Charlotte, Concord, Elon, High Point, Miami, N.C. A&T, Radford, UNCG, Wake Forest, Clemson, and Virginia will all be competing against the Hokies. There were some great performances on Friday from some Hokies, including Arlicia Bush, who won her freshman debut in the 500 meter dash. The talented athlete won easily, by almost two seconds.

All in all, it was a very successful day for the men’s and ladies’ teams. The meet continues tomorrow at Rector Field House. Please go out and support the track and field team, as they try to build on the day one success and win the meet.
