With many key pieces on the offense declaring for the NFL draft, the coaching staff will have plenty of decisions regarding player personnel to make this offseason. However, they will not have to replace cornerback Brandon Facyson on defense, as the senior decided to stick around in Blacksburg for another year. He started every game for Virginia Tech this season and finished the year with 11 PBU’s and 2 forced fumbles.

Facyson, who originally joined the Hokies back in 2012, earned multiple first team freshman All-American selections his first year but his play has tailed off recently. The 6-2, 197 lb corner was projected as a Day 3 pick by most media outlets, which likely factored into his decision to stay. This gives the Hokies some measure of continuity moving forward.
