It’s Homecoming Weekend in Blacksburg! How are the Hokies doing in their many athletic efforts?
Men’s Soccer
After upsetting the No. 1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, The Virginia Tech men’s soccer team tore off three more wins over Longwood, Boston College, and South Carolina. They are currently riding a two-game losing streak after falling to No. 7 Louisville and No. 2 Wake Forest. The squad looks to regroup this evening against William and Mary. The Hokies currently sport a 7-6 overall record and a 2-4 conference record.

Women’s Soccer
The women of Virginia Tech have accomplished a surprising amount of tie games this season. Their overall record is 7-4-4 with a conference record of 1-3-3. After consecutive tie games against Boston College and No. 15 Wake Forest they fell to Clemson, but recently recovered against Notre Dame. Tomorrow the Hokies will face the No. 5 North Carolina Tar Heels.

Volleyball
The Hokies are struggling this season with an overall record of 7-12 and a conference record of 1-7. Unfortunately, they have yet to win a home match this season. There is a bright spot amongst the tribulations though. Virginia Tech did defeat UVA, 3-1, but since then has been on a five-game slide. VT will pursue their first home win of the season this Friday when Wake Forest comes calling.
