The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets defeated the No. 17 Virginia Tech Hokies 28-22 on Saturday. With the loss, the Hokies fall to 7-3 on the season and 3-3 in ACC play. It was another disappointing day for the offense.

Georgia Tech quarterback TaQuon Marshall completed just two of eight passes, but for 140 yards. Both completions went for touchdowns. Marshall also rushed for 64 yards on 22 attempts, with two more scores.

Virginia Tech’s offense was putrid once again, passing for only 153 yards, while rushing for an average of 2.9 yards per attempt. Wide receiver Sean Savoy was the Hokies’ best rusher, carrying the ball three times for 32 yards. Cornerback Greg Stroman kept Tech in the game with an interception return for a touchdown.

The Hokies return home for a meeting with Pittsburgh next week and then finish the season with a trip to Charlottesville. At this point, getting to nine wins could be difficult for Tech.
