Virginia Tech Football : Hokies trail 13-7 at the half in Camping World Bowl

Hokies playing keep away against the Cowboys

NCAA Football: Camping World Bowl-Oklahoma State vs Virginia Tech Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

The Camping World Bowl has been a study in time management. The Virginia Tech Hokies were looking to keep the potent Oklahoma State Cowboys offense off the field. The Hokies ran the ball effectively against the ‘Pokes, but had some miscues of their own. The Hokies had a huge drive going, but fumbled on the Oklahoma State 1 yard line. The defense, for the most part, did its job, but Mason Rudolph does what Mason Rudolph does.

The Cowboys put together a big drive near the end of the first half. Justice Hill found paydirt from the one yard line, and the Cowboys went to the locker room leading the Hokies, 13-7. It was a frustrating first half for the Hokies. They dominated at times, especially at the line of scrimmage, but only had seven points to show for their effort. Virginia Tech will receive the kickoff in the second half, so Let’s Go Hokies!
