Nothing like heading south for the winter. I love this bowl game for the Virginia Tech Hokies, because it combines my love of college football and Disney World. If you are interested in tickets, they are very affordable, especially early. I found tickets for as low as $35 on the official site, and you could sit first row on the fifty for $350. That’s a great value for any bowl game, especially one featuring two top 25 teams. Orlando is notorious for its many hotel options, so if you haven’t been bowling in awhile, this is a fantastic opportunity.
Coming from Virginia, driving would be a poor choice, but here is a pro tip: Make it a four day weekend, fly to Orlando, and stay at a Disney World resort. From the airport, Disney provides a shuttle to your room for free. Hit the game on Thursday, and then hit the parks for Friday and Saturday. I would reccomend taking an Uber to and from the game from your resort room. That eliminates any rental car need. It does hamper the tailgating, but a solid pre-game should put you and your group in the proper mind set for cheering for the Hokies. See you in Orlando!
