The class of 2017 just got even better. The Hokies have received the national letter of intent from inside linebacker, Dylan Rivers. Rivers is a stoudt 6’2”, 230, and apparently runs like a deer. Rivers made news when he decommitted from Penn State, and suddenly committed to Virginia Tech. The Sherando High School player was also offered by Clemson and L.S.U.. Other schools that lost out the Hokies include: Arizona, Maryland, U.N.C., U.V.A., and West Virginia. Here is Rivers on tape:
Rivers looks to make an immediate impact in the thin linebackers core. He runs a 4.75 40, and with a max bench of 350, looks like he has the strength to punish opposing running backs. The 2017 class has immediately addressed depth needs, and 4*’s like Dylan Rivers can only help. Rivers shows incredible closing speed, and has a head for the football. Welcome home, Dylan Rivers, can’t wait to see you on Saturdays in Lane.
