Well, the whale has landed- poker whales, guys, come on. The big mover and shaker. Devon Hunter’s LOI is now in, which brings the 6’-1”, 205lb safety into the fold. The student-athlete from Indian River High School in the 757 had a huge offer list, including Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, and many, many others- 34 total by 257’s count. Here’s his senior tape for your viewing pleasure:

Hunter has a chance to immediately contribute in the 2-deep, if not start, due to the shuffling after Chuck Clark’s graduation. Depending on how Bud and his assistants decide to move players, Hunter could end up at free safety or rover. Due to the transfer of Jahque Alleyne, that safety position looks mighty thin. I’d expect, if he lives up to his ranking, to be on the field sooner rather than later. Hunter is rated as a four star by ESPN, 247, and Rivals, while he is rated a 5 star safety by Scout, and is one of the highest ranked recruits Tech has nabbed in a while. Welcome to the class, Devon. Welcome home.
