The Hokies’ recent success on the recruiting trail really started earlier in January when 4-star LB/DE Nathan Proctor chose the Hokies before playing the in the Under Armour All-American game.
Proctor, from Lackey High in Indian Head, Md., stands 6’3” and weighs 220 lbs. Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster loves defensive ends the size of Proctor. Proctor’s size is reminiscent of former VT pass-rusher Dadi Nicolas.
Proctor could also play the ‘backer position in Blacksburg. He has the ability to not only rush the passer, but also drop into coverage, too. He will clearly need some time in the weight room, however, Proctor possesses outstanding potential and is a huge get for head coach Justin Fuente and the Hokies.
As his tape attests, Proctor is a phenomenal athlete and should be fun to watch over the course of his career with the Hokies.
