The Hokies lost a lot of production at wide receiver and tight end with the departures of Bucky Hodges and Isaiah Ford. That’s why head coach Justin Fuente was looking to sign a versatile group of pass-catchers. Enter Drake Deiuliis.

The 6’6”, 215-pound product from Providence High in Charlotte is a potential future stud for the Hokies in the passing game. Deiuliis uses his frame to separate from defenders and catches the ball away from his body. He runs strong routes and is good down the field, too. Deiuliis has good speed and does an excellent job of winning 50/50 balls due to not only his size, but his ability to high-point the football.

Deiuliis will need some time in VT’s strength and conditioning program so he can add some bulk to his impressive frame.

Deiuliis’ size and athleticism make him an intriguing option for the the Hokies in the coming seasons.
