Aiden Brown Bullis School Potomac, MD Offensive Guard, Defensive Tackle

Aiden Brown has been committed to Virginia Tech since July 23, 2016. His other offers included Air Force, Navy, Coastal Carolina, and Marshall; of course committing to the Military Academies comes with an obligation that can make pushing a football career to the next level a bit difficult. Brown’s films show an even distribution of offensive and defensive skill sets. His blocking talent on the inside of the line obviously garnered some attention because his primary recruiter was Vance Vice. At 6’2”/6’ 3” and somewhere in the 270 range, Brown is a bit on the small side for a tackle. His modest long speed, 5.1 seconds in the 40, and his strength, a 385 and 515 squat for a high school senior is in the better side of good. He did demonstrate an ability to get out to the second level on his blocks (I discount the blow under knockdowns – they look interesting but often are traps for holding calls on the next levels).

One would hope that Brown stays focused on the offensive side of the ball. The Hokies will need some serious talent at Offensive Guard when Wyatt Teller finally exhausts his eligibility.
