Hokies Lose a 22 Inning Double Header to Binghamton by 2 Runs

It was a really tough and disappointing outcome. Tech drops two games to record an official skid of 3 to the Binghamton Bearcats. It wasn’t for lack of trying though. Game 2: Loss was 8-9 in 11. Game 3: was 5-6, also in eleven.

Something that the Hokies Need, Pitching
John Schneider - SB Nation

Saturday March 4th will be an event series that the Hokies baseball team might want to remember and forget at the same time. It was a powerhouse batting performance with an exciting comeback in the first game, matched by a tactical fight to the finish in the 2nd, but unfortunately the Fighting Gobblers didn’t make it out of their extended games with any wins.

We will have a full write up and some pictures from today’s game. So we’ll just post up the frames and hope to salvage a win out of this mess, this afternoon.

Needless to say the team produced enough offense to drive the game into extra innings, but couldn't get the pitching to shut down the Bearcats' offense either.  More on this weekend for consideration on a Monday evening story about the tough home weekend for the Hokies.

It's a beautiful cool, but not cold day in Blacksburg.  It's a good day to get something out of this series.

GO Hokies!!!
