Ball State WR, Damon Hazelton Jr., Transfers to Virginia Tech

The Roanoke Times and USA Today are reporting that the Hokies have welcomed another transfer wide receiver, Damon Hazelton Junior.

Originally a two star recruit out of Franklin High School, Hazelton stated his intention to transfer last month, on twitter.

ESPN lists the Baltimore, MD native at 6’2" and 209 pounds.

While at Ball State Hazelton played in 11 games and started seven. He led the team with four touchdown receptions and was second with 51 receptions and 505 yards. See his complete stats here.

Damon Hazelton has already started summer classes at VPI and will be eligible to play in 2018 when the Hokies open again the Florida State Seminoles. He will have three seasons of eligibility with Virginia Tech.
