Former Virginia Tech WR , Isaiah Ford, is battling a swollen knee early in his attempt to make the Miami Dolphins roster. As a seventh round pick, Ford faced an uphill battle to make the show, and being hobbled won’t help his case. According to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, Ford arrived at camp with the swollen knee. It is unknown at this time what the specific injury is, but Beasley tweeted out today that Ford is seeking a second opinion on the injury.

Tracking down the timeline on this has been tricky. Ford was playing early in camp, and had an issue on 7/28.

If Ford showed up to camp with the swollen knee, apparently it wasn’t a big enough concern to prevent his activity in drills. Ford will need the reps to give him a decent shot at earning a spot, but some folks on social are already fast forwarding to 2018.
Looks like Isaiah Ford may be stashed on PUP/IR for a season... https://t.co/gfdKvM1eco

Let’s all hope Ford can get healthy and make the final roster for the Fins.
