It’s Sunday folks! You know what that means. The USA Today Coaches Poll was released, and the Virginia Tech Hokies are checking in at number 13. This puts the Hokies just one spot ahead of the Miami Hurricanes. The Hurricanes have only played one game thus far. Their last two games have been postponed due to Hurricane Irma. The Clemson Tigers are the highest ranking A.C.C. team, taking the number 2 spot, trailing only the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Florida State Seminoles were scheduled to play Miami this weekend, so they were on a sort of bye. They are ranked number 11 in the latest poll.

The Louisville Cardinals took a big drop all the way down to number 20. Louisville didn’t look very good against Clemson, but many teams don’t look very good against Clemson. The North Carolina State Wolfpack, and yes this is correct, Wake Forest Demon Deacons also received votes. The big surprise is seeing the Demon Deacs anywhere near a top 25 poll in football.
