As mentioned before on Gobbler Country, we get access to certain things. One of those things is preliminary lines on upcoming football games. One of the online sportsbooks gave me some intel on the line for the Clemson Tigers against the Virginia Tech Hokies . I realize this game is next week, but a certain part of our readership really enjoys this early intel. As they have it in Puerto Rico, Clemson is considered an 8 point favorite on the road against Virginia Tech. There has been a bunch of talk this week about ESPN stating this might be the most “dangerous” game remaining on Clemson’s schedule. The Florida State Seminoles might argue this, but the mothership is starting to believe in the Hokies again.
I’m not saying that Clemson is 8 points better on the road, at night, against the Hokies. I am saying that I thought the spread would be about four points closer. I’m not sold on the monumental upset, but the last time the Hokies faced off against Clemson, the fell by a mere 7 in the A.C.C. title game in a neutral field battle.
