Virginia Tech Ranked the No. 8 Top Public University in America

Niche has ranked VPI in the top ten public universities for 2019! Virginia is the most represented state in the top ten with UVA clocking in at No. 2 and W&M finishing at No. 10. Additionally, the ACC is the most represented conference in the top ten with UNC securing the No. 5 spot. As far as public universities ranked in the state the Hokies are No. 2, directly behind the Cavaliers.

Sports Illustrated Hands Out CFB Mid-Season Grades

Earlier last week, prior to the UNC game, SI handed out their mid-season grades for the ACC.

“Virginia Tech (3-2): C

The Hokies opened up the year with a bang by dominating Florida State on the road. Looking back, that win wasn’t as good as we thought it was. Their upset loss to Old Dominion might be the biggest upset of the entire year. Their grade does get a bump for playing okay after the injury to Josh Jackson. The importance of their road win at Duke without him shouldn’t be underestimated. Virginia Tech remains in the thick of the division race and that’s a testament to Justin Fuente and his staff. It’s not going to be a storybook season in Blacksburg, but the program is still headed in a great direction.”

ESPN Ranks the Power 5 Conferences

With only two ranked teams in the conference, the implosion at Florida State, and black-eye non-conference losses like ODU’s defeat of VT and BC’s loss to Purdue the conference doesn’t look great.
