Gobbler Country’s Hokie Sports Evening News Round Up #14-2

The Football Team has an early Thanksgiving with Teammates and family. There are 4 signees for the basketball team, the Women’s Hoops Bunch puts up a bunch on Chattanooga, and Ricky is #25 for Senior Day.

The Band Starts to fill their place in the stands.

It’s the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Let’s go around the Hokie Sports News for this quiet time before Black Friday.

Hokie Soccer

Men’s

We have another new men’s soccer player heading to Blacksburg in the fall. Welcome to Daniel Starr.

Hokie Basketball

Men’s

This is a pretty neat way to welcome four new members of the Hokies.

Women’s

The Women’s basketball team is off to a roaring start this time waxing Chattanooga by a convincing score; 75-59.

Volleyball

The volleyball team wrapped it up for the regular season with a hard fought take it all the way to five match against the Clemson Tigers. The loss may be slightly disappointing but the improvement this season has been encouraging. Time for the team to get ready for next season and up the ante again.

The Men’s Basketball program is ranked 13 and 14 by the AP and Coaches. Rare air for us.

Hokie Football

Now for some face stuffing and totally non-football stuff. With the big game on Friday, Tech practices on Thanksgiving so they have their Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday. So we get a chance to check in for some teasers and previews of tomorrow’s festivities:

Daryl Tapp was fired up for the phony third quarter break thing. Has anyone noticed that we have been seriously blowy since they ditched the Hokie Poky?

I say bring back our old end of 3rd quarter stretch. We will, however keep Tapp. He’s still a super Hokie!

SIRS! THE UNIFORM OF THE DAY FOR SENIOR DAY IS TRADITIONAL! MAROON OVER WHITE! SIRS!

Senior Defensive Tackle Ricky Walker is #25 for this game.

Hokie Nation

This shot of the campus is a real winner, and for those unaware this is only a tiny slice of HOME.

Time to get ready for Thanksgiving!

GO HOKIES!!!
