Gobbler Country’s Hokie Sports Evening News Round Up #17-1

It’s pretty quiet in Blacksburg. It snowed almost a foot and a half on Sunday. The campus opened at 1:00 this afternoon. And the Basketball team rolls on. Rankings are out. And the quiet desperation of exam week proceeds to its conclusion.

Preparing for THE Game.

SNOW! It’s only the beginning of the 2nd week of December and we’ve had a year’s worth in one pass. Tech is always beautiful in the snow.

Someone even made a statement over on Washington Street.

Austin Cannon plays polar bear as relayed by his fellow O-Lineman Silas Dzansi.

Hokie Basketball

South Carolina State might have had a better time getting dressed up in snow gear and having some fun outside. The Men’s Basketball Team took care of business on Sunday.

The Men’s basketball team is #13 in both Coaches and AP Polls. That’s something that we haven’t seen in quite a while. It’s going to take some getting used to. This team looks like a real winner.

The Hokie Bird is pushing the good luck button. It is final exam week. You know the Hokie Bird and squad are also pushing hard. They are all student-athletes and keeping that student thing good is a primary goal.

That’s the weekend wrap up. Bowl Prep to begin soon. Lots of things to do for the Holiday Ramp up. We are waiting on news from the Military Bowl people as their deadline for credentials application nears at the end of the week.

Stay tuned.

GO HOKIES!!!!
