Terrell Edmunds taken by the Steelers at #28 in NFL Draft

The Hokies snuck one in to the tail end of the first round, as Terrell joined his brother Tremaine in a historic first for the NFL. He’ll be joining the Steelers and I CAN’T FEEL MY FACE

With the No. 28 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers took Virginia Tech superstar safety Terrell Edmunds. As a Steelers fan, I’m losing my mind right now. Tonight marks the first time two first round NFL draft picks were brothers as Tremaine Edmunds went to the Buffalo Bills with the No. 16 overall pick.

I love the Steelers and I love the Edmunds family and I want this to be a thing that goes well and does amazing and OH WOW.

In a special moment, the NFL had Pittsburgh’s Ryan Shazier, who was badly injured in last season’s game with the Cincinnati Bengals, walk to the podium to announce the pick. This marked the first major event since his injury that Shazier has made an appearance out of his wheelchair.

Twitter, expectedly, was pretty excited about the pick for the Steelers and the night the Edmunds family had in Dallas.

Coach Fuente and Coach Foster have to be ecstatic at having two first round picks. That feat is a huge feather in their cap, and on top of that, FERRELL AND COOKIE EDMUNDS HAVE TO BE PROUD BECAUSE THEIR KIDS ARE AWESOME.

The Steelers needed a tough, strong safety and damn well got one! CONGRATULATIONS TO TERRELL, THE EDMUNDS FAMILY, THE STEELERS, AND THE HOKIES.
