Former Hokie, C.J. Reavis, Signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars

Two of my favorite things in this world are the Virginia Tech Hokies and the Jacksonville Jaguars. As a result, any time those two things can somehow collide I am going to be excited!

Many of you will remember C.J. Reavis, a former VT defensive back, who was provided an opportunity to play football elsewhere a few years back. The Chester, VA native was rated a three star out of Thomas Dale High School and signed with the Hokies back in April 2013.

After his dismissal from Virginia Tech he transferred to East Mississippi Community College and spent a season playing JUCO ball. He was featured several times during the first season of Netflix’s docu-series, Last Chance U.

Reavis’s time at East Mississippi Community College served him well and he was able to return to FBS ball with the Marshall Thundering Herd.

Earlier this month the Jaguars announced that they had picked up Reavis as an undrafted rookie free agent, with C.J. posting the following on his twitter account yesterday.

Congratulations Mr. Reavis! Well done in overcoming early obstacles to make your NFL dreams come true. Best of luck!

As always…

Go Hokies!!! (And Jaguars too)
