Gobbler Country Talks Tim Settle with Hogs’ Haven

Our SB Nation sister blog Hogs’ Haven checks in with Gobbler Country with some questions about Tim Settle and his being drafted by the ‘Skins. Jay and I gave them more than a few cents worth. Go Tim! GO HOKIES!!!

Jay and I get a chance to get some questions and comments in on how we think Tim Settle will do in his ramp up to try to make the season roster for the Washington Redskins. Check out the article over at our sister blog Hogs’ Haven.

Cadillactica had some great questions, that required a bit of thought.

The truth is that Tim Settle has a big challenge in making the ‘Skins. His chances are actually pretty good. The Washington defense was woeful last season, and an athletic reserve Nose Tackle, with growing skills and a decent set of basic playing instincts should be an interesting asset to keep on the roster.

Of course Tim’s big challenges will be his concentration on the new level of complexity in the pro game, and keeping his weight in reasonable limits. A Tim Settle at 360 is too heavy and limited. At 325-330 he’s tonic to an ailing defensive line.

Just so everyone remembers, here is another taste of what Tim Settle can do for a team.

So check out the discussion. Of course you are welcomed to chime in, below. Summer is long and not having football is boring.

GO HOKIES!!!!
