Head Coach John Sung and the women of the No. 12 Virginia Tech Hokies started their season with a dominating, 14-4, victory over Bucknell. Tomorrow the Hokies host the No. 9 James Madison Dukes. JMU is the defending 2018 national champion. VT will look to avenge their 11-14 loss during the regular season last year. Great start ladies and best of luck tomorrow!

Softball
The Hokies traveled down to Charleston, SC this past weekend to participate in the Cougar Classic. After finishing last season with a need to improve on their 23-30 record VT came out charging, sweeping every team they played on their way defeating the Purdue Boilermakers to win the tournament. The Hokies are now sporting a 5-0 record after just one weekend of play! This weekend Virginia Tech returns to South Carolina to participate in the Upstate Classic. First game is Friday against UCONN.

Wrestling
The No. 11 Hokies suffered their third loss of the season when the No. 15 North Carolina Tar Heels managed to get ahead of VT, 18-14. This Friday VT will look to get back to their winning ways against No. 9 Cornell, before immediately hosting the No. 23 Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday.

Women’s Basketball
They kept it respectable, but the Hokies fell to the No. 2 Louisville Cardinals, 72-63. On Thursday VT travels to North Carolina to face the Duke Blue Devils.
