Virginia Tech looks for a big win in their final road game of the season. With that being said, we’ll take a quick look at the game...

BIG NEWS:

Justin Robinson will unfortunately not be able to play for the Hokies. It was rumored that he could be making his return for Tech, but Buzz Williams said he would not be suiting up for Virginia Tech.

Florida State Overview:

A couple weeks ago Florida State was one of the hottest teams in college basketball. They still are relatively hot, but did have setback a couple games ago. In their last 11 games the Seminoles have gone an impressive 11-1 and have looked great. They’ve gotten there with a balanced scoring attack and lock down defense. Florida State limits easy shots and capitalizes when they get them for themselves.

Virginia Tech Notes:

Short and simple: make shots. The Hokies have been sound on defense recently and might have put their shooting slump behind them. Last game against Duke, Tech finally got good shooting performances from Ahmed Hill, Ty Outlaw, and Wabissa Bede. Once again, if Tech knocks down shots, they’ll be able to win.

This is a big game for Tech. A win would mean giving a second round bye to the Hokies and more time to rest for players including Robinson. A win could go a long way and be crucial down the stretch. Hopefully, the Hokies take down the ‘Noles and put themselves in a good position for the tournament.
