Gobbler Country Podcast - Wrapping Up Furman, Looking Ahead, and a New Assistant

Hewitt gets a solid stop on the QB
John Schneider - SB Nation

This week our post game got a bit delayed due to a raft of valid excuses, family obligations, and in general needing to have something for the end of this week. So we combined our usual postgame into a Wrap of Furman, a discussion of where things are headed, and the addition of Coach Kill to the staff.

This week is going to be really quiet. We get the feeling that the doors on the Beamer Barn will be sealed, and the practices will be held close. Tech has a good deal to work on before they take the field on the evening of the 27th.

The record is 2-1, 0-1 ACC. Folks are disappointed because we didn’t blow out ODU, and do likewise to Furman. Well, we beat ODU which is something we didn’t do last season, and Furman was a whole lot tougher opponent than the sports pundits were giving them credit for being.

This coaching staff has some serious issues to address. Our next show will concentrate on what the Duke match up is going to look like. They are relatively new, too. It’s going to be an interesting week ahead.

GO HOKIES!!!!
