Well we are faced with the real probability that the Fuente Era in Blacksburg is over. I was just looking through some pictures and found some from the West Virginia Opener in 2017 at FedEx Field. Wow was that a heady, hopeful time. JJ was an unknown entity at QB. Big Tim Settle was starting to make an impact, and Cam Phillips was the lead receiver. And Fuente was starting his 2nd season. We had hope. We had lots of good wishes, and good times ahead.
That was then, and this is now. Here’s a poll based on a question that I tossed out on Twitter at about 4:20.
Let us say that this less than optimal move by Justin Fuente doesn’t happen, and he comes spilling back to Hokie International Airport with his tail between his legs and hat in hand. What do you have to say about it?
Fuente’s Adventure isn’t so Excellent and he comes back. Do we forgive and forget?
This poll is closed
Absolutely NOT. We’ll endure the mess. Fire him for cause and move on.
He’s got a season to prove himself. Win back the team, win back Hokie Nation, and win. Most ill will shall eventually fade.
No one will trust him. He’ll never be an effective coach for the Hokies, now. Tell him that he owes the million for resigning and move on.
"Just win, baby! Just win!" - and everything that Al Davis represented goes with it.
We’ll talk about the results once we hear what happens this evening. Baylor has a basketball game tonight. If they are going to announce anything, there is a good chance that it’ll be there.
