The Skinny
So, this year’s BC team is running a bit differently than in previous years. They haven’t had a passing offense since the Doug Flutie days. Their defense is still pretty good, and they have a 3-1 record of some serious contests.
First, Tech is favored by 12 points or so (the numbers always float a bit) but there is little doubt that the Eagles will be a bit more ‘up’ for this contest. Tech’s dropped the last two, and wants to get back on the win track. So, it’s going to be a contest of weakness against strength for both teams... Tech’s Offense has to be better than the BC Defense and the Hokie Defense needs to figure IT out, because BC can sling it.
The Weather
This week we had to go to the Weather Channel for the prediction, but it’s mid October in the mountains of Southwest Virginia and it’s clear. So the Temps are going to be in the mid to low 40’s and the winds will be light.
The Number 25 Goes To
Amare Barno keeps showing up big, and for the first time he’s wearing the #25.

The Duds for the Game
It looks like it’s Maroon Jerseys, white pants, and white helmets for the game. We think that’s what this tweet says...

There was a special notice given out to starting Center and Head of the Vice Squad, Brock Hoffman. He’s been noticed as have several of our Offensive lineman for various lists, but this one is the Rimington Trophy:

Congratulations to Brock! It’s so great to see a two deep thumping, grinding, smashing, and mauling offensive line.
It’s Time to Talk Turkey
Note: John knows that it’s HBCU’s but his brain was going way faster than his mouth when going through piles of notes.

Jurkovec is too much, Tech and BC get into a weird shoot out. The O/U pushes 100 and BC wins by a TD.
-

The Secondary is healthy, BC has no run game, and the entire game looks like solid game with much of the contest going to the Hokies. O/U 70, Hokies by 10+.

31%
BC’s run D is stingy, it’s pass only offense is sputtery, and the two teams end up in a grind. O/U ends up being 40, and Tech wins by a field goal.

9%
It’s a steady give and take, with both teams but neither really dominate. O/U is 30 and BC grabs a close one by 4.
We’ll see how it goes, The Hokie D needs to rise up and recover from their problems last week. The Offense needs to keep it rolling.
Jay Johnson: 42-24 Hokies
John Schneider: 48-24 Hokies
