Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged in Virginia Tech Hokies fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts. NOTE: This poll was conducted prior to this Saturday’s games.
After back-to-back wins over softer opponents, Virginia Tech faces it’s biggest challenge this weekend. As the game against the North Carolina Tar Heels nears, fan excitement among the Hokies’ supports remains high.
According to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey, 95 percent of Virginia Tech fans think the team is headed in the right direction. Since the survey returned this season, responses have remained above 90%.
Turning our attention to the rest of college football, the ACC is in store for several big match-ups. If Note Dame can hold their current form over the next few weeks, they will face Clemson in arguably the biggest game of the season. And as this week’s survey confirmed, fans think Clemson is the best team in the country at the moment. It’s a clear one two, as it has been the past few seasons - and will likely stay that way unless one of those programs loses.
Voters were also asked to pick which game they were most looking forward to this weekend. As you’d expect, with over half the voters, the ACC top 10 showdown between Clemson and Miami topped the results. In a battle of unbeaten teams, Clemson will host the Miami Hurricanes in prime time. No other game earned 20% of the vote, but the Hokies clash with the Tar Heels - both ranked and both undefeated - managed to make the poll as one of the top five games of the weekend.
