This should be fun.

To the delight of most of Hokie Nation, the Virginia Tech football team was off this week. Instead of discussing another disaster on the field, potential coaching moves or players opting out, fans were able to enjoy the Hokies’ men’s basketball team, which started the season 3-0, with a win over No. 3 Villanova.

Now, it’s time to look ahead to another week of Virginia Tech football as the reeling 4-5 Hokies host another No. 3-ranked team in the Clemson Tigers.

Yikes.

Virginia Tech’s battle with Clemson now has a time and it will be in prime-time on ABC at 7:30 p.m. ET.

For the first time in years, most Hokie fans aren’t going to be looking forward to a night game in Lane Stadium.

Clemson, with head coach Dabo Swinney and quarterback Trevor Lawrence, is on par with Alabama as the best program in all of college football over the last decade.

The Hokies have lost three games in a row and four of their last five.

This should be a fun week.
