So, it’s cold, and the ground is wet from a night of cold steady rain - the stuff that would be snow if nature turned the thermostat down about 8 degrees. The Hokies take the field after a subdued week of practice. There hasn’t been much to celebrate. Maybe the reality that Christian Darrisaw is bound to bolt for the pros immediately after the season wraps.

Darrisaw is graded as the best Left Tackle in Division 1 college football by PFF. That will certainly mean something come draft day.
Another Repeat for the #25
Dax Hollifield will be wearing the 25 jersey for the second time this season. Congratulations to Dax, of course, but isn’t anyone else stepping up?

Congrats to @ChiefDax_25 who will wear the 25 in prime time!

We had heard that Braxton Burmeister was going to start at Quarterback with Hendon Hooker held in reserve. He’s pretty dinged up, but he’s also a gamer. This is sort of looking like maybe we are going to see #2 instead of #3 behind Center.

The Weather for Tomorrow in the ‘Burgs is going to be C O L D! ! ! !
Weatherunderground has us doing partly cloudy (dark because the sun goes down at 5) breezy with the wind at 9 to 10 mph. That is combined with a starting temperature just above freezing, and the game sinking to the freezing mark is going to produce a pretty painful wind chill. Will that help the Hokies? Probably not, because no one has really played in too much cold this season. Besides, the coldest game that we played was Pitt, and no one wants to remember that fiasco.
Well, It’s Time to Talk Turkey
Time for the Poll.

We score some points but get rubbed around the mat like John did in his first wrestling match. Embarrassing with a dislocated middle finger.

Time for John to Opine on the Score Potential
Clemson might be down a few players, not that anyone would notice. Dabo had a backup quarterback in and no one had a clue. I am afraid that this might be worse than Pitt. There is an actual chance that the Hokies score over 20 points. But that’s just because the Clemson Cheer Squad hit the field in the 4th quarter.
54 - 16 Clemson
Let’s hope that the guys get their backs up and play the way that we had hoped they’d play, in the beginning of the season.
