Following the cancellation of the ACC Tournament and March Madness, the ACC has announced that all athletic activities are immediately suspended.
“The Atlantic Coast Conference has suspended all athletic related activities including all competition, formal and organized practice, recruiting and participation in NCAA championships until further notice. The decision was made following consultation with the league’s presidents and athletic directors to mitigate the further spread of COVID-19.”
Due to concerns surrounding the widespread health risks related to COVID-19, Virginia Tech athletics, in conjunction with the @theACC and @virginia_tech, has suspended all athletic related activities, effective immediately -

Students were away on spring break when confirmed cases began to speed up throughout the US. First, the school extended spring break before eventually moving all classes online for the rest of the semester.
