The young core continues to compete against the ACC, but came up short on the road against first place Louisville. Jalen Cone, Nahiem Alleyne, and Tyrece Radford shined and give hope for the coming years in Blacksburg. The Hokies are now on another four-game losing streak, and need to pull out a home win in order to try and keep the record from slipping below .500 by the end of the season.
Clemson comes to town now sitting fifth in the ACC and have recently pulled out wins over Florida State and Louisville. Both programs were ranked in the top 6 in the nation at the time. The Tigers have won four of their last five and are making a late push to make the NCAA Tournament.
Can Mike Young stop the slide and get one more win at Cassell Coliseum before hitting the road against Notre Dame and the start of the ACC Tournament?
No. 11/10 Louisville's second-half surge too much in road setback

Wednesday night will could possibly be the Hokies last game at home this year. Barring a strong finish to the end of the season, including the ACC Tournament, a bid into the NIT Tournament seems unlikely. Branden Johnson, the graduate transfer student, will be the only confirmed player exiting the program. Despite his hot start to the year, will the Hokies get to see Landers Nolley in Blacksburg next year? Hopefully, but for now the focus in on Clemson and getting a home win for the faithful inside Cassell Coliseum.
