So the Athletic Department just sent out the official announcement of the football schedule for Fall 2020. There are going to be some really upsetting changes, and some completely unexplainable scramble ups - Commonwealth Cup in September? But it’s a schedule and we’ll take it. GO HOKIES!!!!

Football in 2020! Please let this happen... please
John Schneider - SB Nation

So the fact sheet published by the Virginia Tech Athletic Department got a major boost in the direction of a functional football season for 2020.

See the Official Press Release for some details:

But the skinny is:

September 12 NC STATE - Tough Start

September 19 VIRGINIA - Too Early and Disappointing it won’t be on Thanksgiving

September 26 Open - Don’t need a bye this weekend but it is what it is

October 3 at Duke - Good time for a Duke Game

October 10 at North Carolina - Super Tough Game

October 17 BOSTON COLLEGE - Revenge in mid-October

October 24 at Wake Forest - Go beat Wake in their House

October 31 at Louisville - Super Tough Game

November 7 LIBERTY - So that answers the Virginia Team Question would have been better the 12th of September

November 14 MIAMI - Are they going to be any good?

November 21 at Pitt - Nardo is always up for a fight

November 28 Open - this break will be necessary

December 5 CLEMSON -Massively Tough Season Ender unless we end up in the top 2

December 12/19 ACC Championship Game – Charlotte, NC - Who Plays Notre Dame?

We’ll be talking about this on the podcast which will hopefully be out by late Sunday or early Monday. Kat is on vacation.

For more COVID related Hokie Sports Information the team has actually provided a page of brutally honest answers that many folks seem to have missed. Please take a look.

As we slide into this schedule, we’ll be applying for credentials and trying to get an official Gobbler Country presence at the home games. This is going to be a weird, wild, one off season where the UVA game will mean nothing more than us getting back our cup.

As Always,
