The Virginia Tech Hokies were set to face the Virginia Cavaliers in Charlottesville on Saturday in men’s ACC basketball action.
Due to a member of Virginia’s basketball staff testing positive for COVID-19, the game has now been postponed. As of this time, a makeup date has not been scheduled.
The two teams were set to tip off at 2 p.m. ET and featured a battle of ranked teams.

Virginia won its ACC opener earlier this week by dispatching Notre Dame to move to 5-2 on the season, including 1-0 in ACC play.
Meanwhile, the No. 24 Hokies defeated Miami to improve to 8-1 on the season and sit atop the ACC with a 2-0 mark in league play. N.C. State is the only other ACC team that is currently 2-0 in conference play.
The two rivals are still scheduled to meet on Jan. 30 in Blacksburg.
The Hokies return to action on Wednesday with a trip to Louisville. Virginia is scheduled to face Wake Forest on Wednesday, but the status of that game remains in question as the Cavaliers are in quarantine.
