Gobbler Country’s Talking Turkey Goes Over Hokie Men’s Basketball

Bryan and John talk about the basketball season to date. Reminder that this was recorded before the unfortunate set of events leading up to the Radford suspension and the disheartening Syracuse loss.

The Reality Hits Home

There are no two ways about it, the loss of Tyrece Radford is going to hurt the guard position, and the team’s outside shooting. Sugar coating the situation will just make it worse for being a Hokie Nation Hoops Fan.

The statements from the department have been pretty spare since the announcement this morning. Mike Young will have to fill the truck sized hole left in his starting and immediate backup bench. He has capable young players but their experience on the floor has been limited this season. Looks like it’s going to be time for the guards on the bench to step up, and maybe do some shuffling of roles and schemes to fill in the gap.

So, Let’s Talk Turkey

So, listen in. Sorry about this being a tad stale, the recording was seriously messed up with digital internet nastiness and Kat had to work some magic to get it in shape to present. The general topics will be presented after the next podcast (currently being fixed) about the football team. For now, let’s talk men’s basketball.

Think hard, 13 games left, 11 regular 2 makeups give me a final W/L for this stretch run.

Wednesday we take on the Irish in South Bend. It’s a chance to get back on the winning track and get a road W. It’s not going to be easy, either.
