Virginia Tech wide receiver Tre Turner had one of the best games of the 2021 college football season for a wide receiver in last week’s 26-17 win over Georgia Tech. The fourth-year wideout from Greensboro caught seven passes for 187 yards and a touchdown to help the Hokies snap their three-game losing streak.
For his effort, Turner was named the ACC wide receiver of the week.

It’s the second time this season that Turner has gone over 100 yards in a game. For the season, Turner has caught 34 passes for 602 yards and a touchdown.
Just imagine the numbers Turner could’ve put up with consistent quarterback play.
Turner is having a good season despite Virginia Tech’s overall issues on offense. With four games remaining, Turner has an outside shot of getting to 1,000 yards for the first time in his college career. Is it likely? No, and not because of Turner. But Turner has already eclipsed his single-best season and the Hokies still have Virginia’s defense on the schedule.
Congratulations to Tre Turner.
