Boston College has a 10-0 lead on Virginia Tech. While this would have been a shock 24 hours ago, Phil Jurkovec started and Tre Turner is out. Tre played the best game he has thus far with 187 yards last week at Georgia Tech, Jurkovec has been a revaluation for a Boston College team that needed something positive after a five game conference losing streak that had them looking at 0 wins in conference this season.
The Hokies have 3 yards passing, mostly because Braxton Burmeister has a rib injury that he was unable to comeback from thus far. Knox Kadum is doing everything he can to keep the Hokies moving down the field, but he just can’t seem to muster up what is needed.
10-0 feels like 35-0 at this point. I’m not sure how Virginia Tech comes back from this and makes this a game other than the defense getting multiple turnovers and giving the offense a short field to make a miraculous comeback.
The one bright spot is that the Hokies have 109 yards rushing in the first half. If the defense can mix with the running game, maybe there is something that the Hokies can salvage out of the mess that was the first half. Here’s hoping.
