The Virginia Tech Hokies received some big news on Friday when four-star offensive lineman Gunner Givens officially picked the good guys.

Last Friday, four-star running back Ramon Brown picked the Hokies. Both players made their announcements live on CBS HQ. Perhaps, every player considering Virginia Tech can line up an announcement on CBS HQ in the future.
Make no mistake; this is a huge get for the Hokies. Givens plays locally at Lord Botetourt High School in Daleville and is a national prospect. His offer list tells the story of the type of prospect many in the industry believe he is. While he chose the Hokies over Penn State in the end, he had offers from Ohio State, Alabama and LSU, among others.
At 6-foot-5, 270 pounds, Givens already has great size. He is listed as an offensive line prospect, but he plays on the defensive line and at tight end in high school. If Givens ends up on the OL as projected, he would be the latest tight end to convert into a successful offensive lineman at Virginia Tech.
